When Teens Grow Up

Post by koan »

My kid started texting me today like I was my mom, trying to tell her what she can and can't do. My position is that she will do what she wants with or without my permission. As it turns out, she still values my advice.

I dunno.

I wouldn't take my advice. lol

I don't mind being ignored, I just don't like being made to look like my mom.

Isn't that the prime function of kids?

Previously, I had thought the prime function was to invent new, insulting nicknames for me. :P

chuckle. Count yourself lucky to have the kid to make you feel like that!

Or should I be adding it to my list of why I'm lucky not to have kids?

Both, probably. :)
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."
