Anyone Want To Explain Bill O'Reilly?

I've seen Jon Stewart on The O'Reilly Factor. I find Ann Coulter more offensive but... still. How does this show continue? Does anyone actually watch it because they think he's a smart guy?

gmc, Bill O'Reilly is a host/commentator on Fox News. He has a show on M-F, 8 pm. Although this is the most highly rated cable news for this time slot, in actuality, compared to the main channels, his audience is not that big. It is big, however, in terms of cable news. Bill is a bloviating blowhard. Fox News=Right Wing. I do find him amusing on occasion.

Isn't "extreme right wing" and "idiots" redundant?

I reckon extreme and idiots will always be redundant.

When I've caught the show, I've watched with mouth wide open, aghast at some of the things he says. gmc, you have to catch him on youtube if you can.

I don't get fox news since I cancelled my Sky subscription (robbing bastards)

Why would anybody try to explain Bill O'Riely?

As far as Ann Coulter, nice to see beauty and brains in one package.
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.

Personally, I prefer to get my right-wing "news" from the small independent radio stations in the boonies of Nevada at about 3am. The stuff they make up is far more inventive than the stuff O'Reilly and Coulter make up. It is very entertaining. :-3

If I'm going to listen to angry political fantasy then I want to hear the really inventive stuff. I really had no idea that Obama, the pope, and the UN were plotting to take away the golf courses in the US or what is really underground at the new Denver airport terminal. Besides, it keeps me awake on a long drive. :driving:

You're kidding me right? If the wench had brains she would be using it for something constructive. Beautiful? I guess its been a long time since you've seen a woman.

Just yanking your chain, no offense intended with the last part. I'm not partial to tall skinny women.

She's only survived because she has a Heather Locklear kind of look. Brains?

"With the terrible earthquake and resulting tsunami that have devastated Japan, the only good news is that anyone exposed to excess radiation from the nuclear power plants is now probably much less likely to get cancer.

This only seems counterintuitive because of media hysteria for the past 20 years trying to convince Americans that radiation at any dose is bad. There is, however, burgeoning evidence that excess radiation operates as a sort of cancer vaccine."

Ann Coulter

Sure. She's smart enough to be the most vile of the vile. If you're gonna do it, do it right.

It is nice to see beauty and brains in one package, but what's that got to do with Ann?

She would make a good parent or teacher, because she truly has eyes in the back of her head ... they're sunk in from the front.

I don't think I've watched a full episode of O'Reilly, and I haven't seen his show at all in years. He used to be loud and self-righteous, so many people mistook that as being hard right, but his ideas are not extreme ... just loud and self-righteous.

She demonstrates the principle that if you keep stating something often enough with enough conviction people start being convinced you know what you are talking about.

All this was inspired by the principle--which is quite true within itself--that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.

—Adolf Hitler , Mein Kampf, vol. I, ch. X[1]

You can't actually argue against someone like ann coulter as she is not using a logical argument nor is she interested in the facts. As to the source of my quote I make no apologies, just think of all that has happened after 911. No one wanted to dispute the big lie about iraq and wmd's. Even now people can't believe blair and bush knowingly told lies.

It's a grandstanding show. He has a predictable number of seconds he allows 'guests' to speak before he talks over them. If he can't control the answer he moves to the next question.

I would say she has more of a Blonde Morticia Addams look.

As for Bill, I did get caught up watching him for a while, but when I found myself agreeing with him, I turned off the TV, and walked away.

It's hard to see people who say and/or do despicable things as attractive. A part of the thinking brain shuts down all receptors to what might otherwise be conceived as appealing. I made a living making a lot of personality hideous people appear as attractive as possible so I can still see what other people would say is attractive. You may think she's Morticia but you should hear what women say about other attractive women... they've got her pegged as a wormface. Nevertheless, she's not a dog. Dog's are more likeable. And I'm not a big dog fan.

Me, too. I prefer small dogs.

I feel guilty after comparing her to Morticia.

I confess that I had a bit of a crush on Morticia Addams when the TV show was running.

She was actually quite fetching.

As for the Coulter B!tch, I have little use for her.
