Pictured: The horrifying injuries inflicted on a pensioner, 80, by a CAT while she tended her garden | Mail Online

Frankly, I don't believe her for a minute.

I am sorry that this old dear has somehow Incurred these Injuries but a domestic cat ????

I've had all manner of nut jobs In rescue cats over the years Including Feral. Yes, I've been scratched badly but black eyes????

I wonder if the daughter hurt the mother... she claims to be a witness to the cat attack... and this is how they explained the bruises. No way could a cat do this.

Must be a big cat, but even so, I have never heard of an unprovoked attack by a cat.

I don't believe It not just because domestic cats simply do not behave like that, even aggressive one's but where are the scratches around the eyes?

To Inflict those black eyes, there would have to have been force leaving at least one or two claw marks around her eyes or nose area and there's nothing.

There's a lot more to this than they're letting on.

What angers me, Is they're calling for some nonsensical law re: dangerous cats.

Dangerous cats my arsse!!!

This just gives cats a bad name by putting ridiculous Idea's In people's heads.

Tai Kwan Kitty.

I knew a cat, once, that liked to beat up dogs, but I doubt he would ever have been able to commit that sort of damage to a human.

Had him for years and he was so wild he'd hang upside down from the top of the curtains with a manical look on his face. Could never handle him. Had to drug him unconscious when we moved house just to get him In the cat carrier but he never ever made any attempt to attack us.

So we should look forward to the Dangerous Cat Act. Tom cats should be muzzled and always on a lead.

It might be real. Who am I to say? But I've never been punched by a cat.

The bruises look more like plastic surgery to me. Maybe the kitty did her a favor. She might look younger without those unsightly bags under her eyes once the swelling goes down.

I think the glasses caused the bruising. they had to have, since she said she had them on and they protected her from scratching.

Or are we suggesting that the cat managed to land punches under those frames?

All the wild nut jobs I've had over the years would run away from you If frightened... that's the basic Instinct of the cat... even wild cats and why I don't believe this story.

This story is ridiculous, it's just fodder on a slow day at the Guardian. Snooze may be right, her daughter smacked her around some or another person, maybe it was plastic surgery. A domestic cat isn't powerful enough to inflict an injury like that although they can easily draw blood with their claws.

I'd think that this kitty is something to be worried about though.

I also have to question the survival instincts of the individual filming it.

That was strange, you'd think the tiger would want to get away from the noise and smell of the vehicles.

I guess that's a possibility, the cat jumped at her face and landed all four feet squarely on her glasses. hahaha

Maybe she shot a large wild cat in a tree, which landed square on her glasses-clad face in the fall. That might've done it.

Sounds more plausible than the other story AC. I bet if you dug deep enough you'd find the story complete fiction.

I'm not too sure but I think the Tiger may be ill, he doesn't look well.
