Things my Mom taught me

Post by valerie »

There were a lot of different ones... I remember one time

I thanked her for teaching me how to tie my shoes.

But the one I've thought of lately (and Mom is sadly no

longer here to thank!) is how to hold onto the cuff of

my long sleeves before I put a jacket on, so the sleeve

doesn't get all bunched up.

Little things.

My dad insisted I clean my shoes every day and taught me how to clean them properly. Then the Army taught me how to clean them properly properly. Sadly my dad is not around to see me not clean my shoes very often

Both my mum and dad taught me good manners

I taught my daughter to bunch up the legs of her tights and point her toe into them to get them on more quickly and cleanly. This tip was passed down from my mother.
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6
