The King George V1 Chase

Post by Oscar Namechange »

I suppose us Kauts devotee's and groupies would be hoping for a lot to see Kauto Star take an unprecedented 6th consecutive King George at his age but having made the mistake of virtually writing him last season due to age, I'm not making that mistake again.

If anything, It will give us all chance to see him race again and news from neighing circles Is that he Is fit enough...

I've just taken 8/1 anti post with William Hill on Kauto Star.

However, there's every possibility that between now and boxing day, he could be withdrawn from the race... Should that happen, I'll still be at Kempton Park on Boxing Day to see the rest of the field..... especially Grand Crus

Long Run Is once again Is the 11/4 Bookies favourite but his connections must seriously be wondering when they will ever shake off Kauto Star.

I'm sure most connections let out a massive sigh of relief when this was announced...

It'll be a bitter sweet season without him but there are some very exciting new young pretenders on the scene such as Sprinter Sacre and Sanctuaire from the Nicholls stable. It's going to be an exciting season and I'm hoping the old fella 'The Tank' will put In some guest appearances around the country.

I'm still of the mind that Nicholls will withdraw him nearer Boxing day In favour of a younger mount... but Interesting that the racing world are getting excited at his entry...

They'll need to update this video now.
