I love broccoli!

I grossed the daughter out yesterday when I ate beets.

And I bought fresh asparagus at the store last night...

she is thinking of running way... at least as far as McDonald's.:wah:

Two of my favourite veggies, broccoli and spinach.......spinach edges it......but broccoli is easier.

Have you ever tried broccoli.........lightly cooked.....dropped in boiling water for........about..........that long....drained dry.....then dropped into vinigrette or french dressing ...olive oil and vinegar, salt pepper and a touch of mustard.......allow to cool soaking up the taste.

Eaten as a salad......I am salivating.

I assume from the seriousness of the thread that we're not talking about a surprise trick in spirit of the upcoming Halloween holiday and that Lon isn't attempting to hand out Campylobacter coli.

I love broccoli as well.

I like the taste of broccoli but it's a simple carbohydrate and can cause cravings in people who are carb sensitive. That's why it tastes good.

That's interesting. I've been eating it because it is complex.

Lol

I chop it into bite-size pieces then microwave it a minute, just enough to soften it a little. Then I chop up a smoked sausage & fry it up, remove the meat and quick stir-fry the broccoli in the sausage oil. Add a little butter, salt or soy sauce, and just a sprinkle of sugar. Then mix the sausage back in.

We eat it as a snack while watching TV.

I love spinach too! There are tons of ways to cook it that don't involve boiling it until slimey. :yh_sick

LolYou're right, I worded that very wrong. Carbohydrate sensitivity varies and for those who are especially sensitive to them, vegies such as broccoli; potatoes; corn; beets, and a few others digest as simple carbs. I need to stay away from them myself.

Sorry for the info error. A good book that explains this is The Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program written by Rachel and Richard Heller.
