Talk about packed like sardines! Some of these look well laid out while others are quite a hodge-podge. Not good places for people who need their breathing space & plenty of elbow room!

Is that rail sidings on the German island ?

Looks like it is the end of the line, but why build a bridge to put the terminus there, it seems crazy.

Some of the islands are quite beautiful but others look like an invitation for major sicknesses.

Some experts believe that Mexcaltitán may actually be the legendary Aztlán, the ancestral homeland of the Aztec people.

Very interesting, legend has it that the Aztecs came from the western part of Mexico (where the sun sets or sleeps depending on the version of the legend you hear) because they had picked a fight with another tribe and lost.

Maybe it was their original home.

Who would have thunk it. Ijust read yet a different version of the migration saying they came from the north.

I keep thinking about some of these islands... there's no way they'd have water and waste water treatment (or even plumbing) so they most likely dump their waste directly into the water. They're not only living in hovels packed tightly together, they're surrounded by water that's dirtier than our toilet bowls. They'd have to carry all their food over as well... what benefit do they get from living there?

Probably peace of mind in some form or other in all the situations. Among other benefits.
