An odd story, if anyone's followed it.

Has anyone followed it?

The congressman and his campaign staff believe the vandalism was staged to cover up the computer tampering.

On further inspection it was determined the intruder had caused a different type of damage -- someone installed the Linux operating system on the office's computers, Grimm told the Advance Sunday night, and in the process wiped the hard drives clean. "All of my polling data, all of the data from my IDs of voters, and a bunch of other campaign information. But fortunately we had everything backed up from literally hours before, so we don't lose anything because we have backups," Grimm said.

Would that make it an anti-Repucrat gesture?

What struck me most about the tale was the photo of the incumbent, he fits my mental image of a low-grade Mafia hood to perfection right down to the fake tan.

No, I think the guy staged it, himself.

He's an ex-Fed, and the fake tan is more for the campaign, I bet.

You need to update your stereotype. Anyone in the City saw him coming down the street would say, "Cop"

Or he took advantage of the vandalism to destroy some data he didn't want to share.

He is not my congressman, but he is the neighboring district. I don't trust anything he does, Mr. Grimm. I can't be blamed for distrusting congresspeople, however, because mine Was Anthony Weiner, of the famous Weiner pics. I don't mind that, I mind how he let the district down. And he truly did.

Weiner Regrets Disappointing Constituents, Doesn’t Rule Out Return To Politics | Sheepshead Bay News Blog

As for Grimm, he is one of the most corrupt in the House:

I'm relieved that overwriting a Microsoft PC with a fresh installation of a Linux distribution is no longer being seen as a dissident act with political overtones.

Let's not kid ourselves, eh? No self-respecting German would ever be caught on camera with his hand in this particular position.

Actually, It was 1934

Go on, I'll bite, what happened in 1934 that's relevant to Heiling back and forth whenever assuming office?

My mistake ( which is why I changed my post )... I was thinking of something entirely different at the time.

You're the one who posted the photo of Fitzy, not me. That makes two people looking like low-grade Mafia hoods in the one thread.

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/stat ... d3TYZCOBlN - do I have a nose for these things or not?

"Grimm, an ex-Marine, insists his campaign is clean and denies knowing anything about his ex-partner’s mob associations, said his lawyer, William McGinley". He still manages the fake tan and the abysmal dress sense though.

But not to campaign computer vandalism - the two acts sound to be totally unrelated so what's he trying to cover up?

Personally I think he was attempting to smear his opponent.
