I'm surprised because various versions of these have been on the market for years.
I actually bought one version from Bettaware years ago as Mr O has great difficulty In getting In and out of a bath and bending down In general. The one I got was the thing shown In your ad but Incorporated Into a shower mat. I've seen other versions since then.
They are a godsend for disabled people like Peter who have trouble bending down to wash their feet.

You can always go and make a coffee you know. It's the wonga ad that irritates me as well as the other legal pay-day lenders that are just one slimy step up from back street money lenders.

Sorry, I don't rate them as any better than the back street money lenders - it's usary pure and simple.

If they had any scruples they would not be in that niche. They even advertise rates of 1275% APR before you start adding costs in - the target audience consists of the truly desperate and the mentally challenged which makes what they're doing abuse of the vulnerable.

Plus the bleeding irritating advertising campaign ? That doesn't come cheap.
Payday loans, are replacing the old Pawn shop where nice Uncle would loan against something of value.
Many of todays homes have nothing of transferable value, other than TV's and such.
So a loan on your next pay or benefit cheque is the next best thing.
They only show the interest rate because they have to, legally, but that only matters if you are unable to repay in the short term of the loan

They are positioned near the back porch or at the barn of most farms in the area. I would think that is where the idea came from.

You make a mock up and send it to China, everybody falls over themselves to make it as cheap as they can.
With JML years of experience and advertising they estimate the production run spot on, timing it perfectly for Christmas.

That's when you have sold your hard work off to the big boys. The little guys still have all those start up costs - unless they hit the latest reality show and get it all handed to them.
