Had any really bad one's ? How did you deal with them?

Just like to know before I launch Into a rant.

Neighbours....

Post by Saint_ »

Interestingly, my neighborhood is remarkably tight and connected. I know the people behind me and across the street and next to them as well. We are all good friends and watch each other's houses when we are on vacation.

Then there's my next door neighbors...(They are renters...and not the good kind either.)

So far they have:

thrown cigarette butts over the fence burning the cover of our jacuzzi.

had the police called for wild parties six times.

had the police come by for domestic violence four times.

shot our house with BB guns.

let their NINE cats run wild throughout the neighborhood. (three got poisoned by my neighbor across the street, but I put a halt to that.)

urinated on our lawn.

ran around the house screaming obscenities at each other.

spied on my wife and I in our jacuzzi.

Had screaming arguments with each other in their house almost daily. (We could still hear them in our house it was so loud.)

stole our firewood from the side of our house.

At first I just built an eight foot fence between us, but I finally put my foot down and threatened to sue their landlords. That seemed to have done it. We haven't heard a thing from them in months.

Currently, I have no problems. In fact, I have never heard or seen any of my neighbors from my house. Unless of course you count the wild critters that share the forest with me. The raccoon family can get a little rowdy sometimes and a mountain lion passes through from time to time.

The first four houses on our lane we couldn't ask for better neighbors. The other side of us, is a strange situation. Gf/bf were buying a house. He left her, bought a house a few doors up, and moved in with his wife and spends time with both. That part doesn't bother me. It's the cussing and yelling, the cats running loose and kittens left out in the cold, the fact their relatives said to lock our doors because they're thieves that just doesn't thrill me much about them.

My neighbors are gems-even the notorious ones. A pipe broke in the house Thursday, flooded two floors, they called me at school, saved my husband from injury from falling ceiling tiles. Yes, their friends will do the cleanup, it seems very sensible to me to reward them and keep them on the good side for future problems.

But what an ordeal, gosh, all I'll get for Christmas now is a remodeled house inside, with so much work to do I don't know how I will get it done while working.

So you take the good with the bad. I have done my neighborly duty in the past, reported drug dealings, etc. Cop lives down the street, what does he care? He never showed up to help once. I stay on the neighbor's good side, and they help when an emergency is here. I think when that happens, the majority of people turn out to good inside.
