police hand file to cps over two aussie djs prank call the AA grumpy column

Post by the grumps »

g,day cobbers AA grumpy here cracking open a tinnie and sticking a steak on the barbie while i watch home and away and play with me didgeriedoo.

( dont be filthy grumps ED )

the police today handed a file to the cps to see if any offences have been comitted by the 2 aussie dj,s prank call to the hospital where kate was staying.

now i,m in two minds about this as yes its a serious breach of royal security or is this because a nurse commited suicide and are they looking for two scapegoats to blame her death on.

and besides if she was that unstable should she have been a nurse anyway.

i cant see how these two will ever face charges as the offence was technically commited in australia and some stuffed shirts here in the uk are making a mountain out of a molehill which isnt good for uk/aussie relations apart from the fact that if this ever got to trial it would be a waste of tax payers money as well as making us look a laughing stock around the world.

the 2 dj,s would have to be extradited to stand trial in the uk costing the uk tax payers more money to get them here.

for christs sake she was only suffering from morning sickness and it becomes national news... get real... how many pregnant woment get admitted to hospital for morning sickness crikey the wards would be full of heaving women and sick pots abounding yet they can still find kate a bed straight away without waiting on the list for 6 months.

can i go back to the real world now ?

AAG

footnote

from today the column will have to be wrote differently i will have to write the column myself ( you mean your,e actually going to do some work ? ED)

no longer can i copy and paste a comment from that murdock rag thats only fit for the toilet as i keep getting infractions for doing so

You can paste comments from that rag, just as long as you make it clear what you have copied and pasted and you put a link in your posts.

Definitely so - far more interesting to hear your opinion than just a link to an article we could have read anyway.

You're more likely to get people to discuss the subject too.

They did break australian law by not getting permission from those on the tape to out their voices on air.

One point - had she been in a state hospital this would never have happened as they would never have got past the receptionist. Private hospitals just don't have the same staffing levels - especially in the evening.

Stop reading the daily mail. It's bad for you.

For one, If there are any criminal prosecutions then It should be against the producers not the DJ's because although they played the prank, It was Initially recorded and later the producers decided to air It... they broke the law not the DJ's.

In their Interview, they said It was a team decision to play the prank so they are not solely responsible. They are also not responsible for the failings of the hospital to brief It's staff on putting all calls through to the Royal security outside her door to fend off the press. They are not responsible for the stupidity of the nurse. There's much we don't know at this stage and for all we know, she could well have been briefed to not put calls through to the ward.

Also, she has left a suicide note Indicating her collegues and senior staff treated her very badly and that Is not the responsibility of the DJ's.

This Is nothing more than a nasty, vindictive witch-hunt against two young people who have already suffered enough. If they are charged, I am sure any sensible Judge will throw it out of court and quite rightly blame her own actions and that of the hospital.

The desire to see two young people have their lives destroyed Is disgusting and makes me wonder what makes people tick

There we go girl.... we said there was more to It all along....Taken from the article

The nurse who was found hanged after the Duchess of Cambridge radio DJ prank had made two previous suicide attempts, it has been claimed.

By Wesley Johnson, Home Affairs Correspondent4:01PM GMT 23 Dec 2012

Jacintha Saldanha, 46, was treated in intensive care at a hospital in Mangalore, India, in January, after reportedly falling from a building.

It came just nine days after she attempted to commit suicide with an overdose of pills during a family visit to India, according to reports.

The details emerged as Scotland Yard submitted a file and asked prosecutors to consider whether any potential offences were committed by two Australian DJs who called the nurse who then transferred their call to a colleague who described Kate's condition.

Indian-born Mrs Saldanha’s brother Naveen said she never talked about previous suicide attempts or discussed her life and health issues with him during her visits to Mangalore.

But he added he visited the mother-of-two when she was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Father Muller Medical College Hospital on January 8 following the fall.
