Reprimanded for flatulence?

Post by valerie »

Yeah, a Social Security worker was. Seems coworkers

didn't want to work with the person.

The reprimand was rescinded about a week after when

higher ups found out about it.

The employee claimed lactose intolerance, but I don't know,

seems like if you did have it there are many products available

to help you with that, or avoidance of those foods anyway.

I never had a coworker 'smoke me out' but it would be awful

to have that ongoing!

We had a sales guy that used to stand at the ad island with the other sales folks and let it rip.

He thought it was hysterical.

Never did it when the boss was around though.
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

I use to work with a guy who should have been reprimanded! He used to eat fruit all day with the inevitable consequence that there was a miasma surrounding his desk.

Luckily I sat at the other end of the office but even there it was bad.

I'm always posting on Facebook about the phlegm monster that I work with... the guy will suck down some nose fruit, hawk it up, gurgle it a little and then burp loudly while saying the word 'burp'. One of my friends posted this story on my wall as a joke but I really do wish the guy's boss would at least talk to him, he's disgusting.

I work with a young female in the office who downloaded "the sound" and would toss a pen on the floor. She would ask an unsuspecting employee to pick up the pen and then, yes, make the sound. She has done this many many times. Everyone else laughs hysterically. I don't think it's particularly funny so I do my ignore thing. The boss is not around also when this happens.

I once did a thread at FG about "A Diva in the Office" who has since left. I could now do a thread about "The Princess in the Office". :wah: But I won't. :lips:

Actually I can understand that why should you have to put up with someone else's personal hygiene problems in a confined space like an office? I once had to deal with a member of staff who shall we say was a stranger to the concept of regular washing and I had members of staff coming to complain en masse. believe me they did make their feeling known to the person involved but she didn't take the hint. Ended up getting the female HR manager to speak to her, she went to the union rep about it who didn't mince her words on the matter - it really was pretty bad - and she left

We had a sales guy that used to stand at the ad island with the other sales folks and let it rip.

Most of the places I have worked it would get to the point someone like that would have it explained to him that he really really shouldn't do that kind of thing.

It's like the smoking debate, do what you like just don't expect to be able to force everybody else to put up with it.

I had one In one of the South Coast offices when I was In sales... It was only a young woman, but sorry, she stank. It wasn't just the arm pits, It was also the chuff chuff woo woo area... the office was entirely male dominated except me so I was asked to have a word with her because It was actually offensive. It was strange because she'd come to work all smartly dressed In a suit. I bottled out having a word because I didn't want to hurt her feelings... In the end, when a new female sales rep started at the branch, she found It so offensive, she told this girl In no uncertain terms... It had no effect at all... a year later when the young girl got married, some of us were ased to her wedding and when I say she wafted down the aisle, I mean she literally wafted down the aisle... I hope the poor girl finally got It sorted but I'll never forget that rancid stench the moment she entered a room.

eta... just remembered, one day she came into my office and asked me If she could borrow my body spray because she stank that day... who does that ???
