I'm noticing how many forum threads are associated with God and how many step up to add their own cynical responses.

The statistics of practicing "Christians" are surely wrong amongst an elite bunch such as this.

Well good, this crowd is a pretty solidly religious and devout bunch. "Good decent people" as my folks used to say.

and how many step up to add their own cynical responses.

My, that certainly seemed cynical of you! Did you just start a thread with a cynical post to rail against cynical people? Stop doing that kind of thing, you're driving me crazy!

The statistics of practicing "Christians" are surely wrong amongst an elite bunch such as this.

What statistics? Who's elite? Them's fightin' words.

Yawn. When you finally get an education and some life experience, come back and see me. Until then...simply ignore my posts...they aren't designed for your current level of comprehension.

ROFL! I'm over half a century old, with three college degrees, a military career, a civilian career, and a state career, and I still get smack from a 19-year-old on the internet. Oh well...C'est le vie!!:wah:

Look...I get it. You're a better Christian than everyone else. Apparently you're a better everything than everyone else: a better patriot, a better American, a better Christian, a better man, a better gun owner, a better intellect, and a better moralist. That's OK with me. I'm proud, conceited, and arrogant too. (Obviously!):wah:

I'm just trying to figure out why you don't like the Christian threads. :-2 I've actually learned a lot about Christianity around here, and I've had a few of my views challenged and changed. But I don't recall any cynical views, just thoughtful ones and well-informed ones, even when they were contrary to my thinking.

Are you talking about how Accountable or Scrat will bring up the inquisition of some other bad example of historical Christian behavior in some of the Christian threads?:-3

If so, I find that valuable as a reminder that, even though Christianity has the highest ideals, the men who worship and follow sometimes don't live up to those ideals. Some even twist those tenets for evil purposes, and you, yourself, said it's important to study history so we don't repeat it.

So why the disdain?

If you're referring to Mickiel's threads, he's got over 1400 posts and, honestly, I have a lot of trouble following his lines of thought. Doesn't mean I don't like him though....

Using your own methods of determining a forum user's traits, knowledge, education, career, height / weight, shoe-size etc., I would have to immediately say (as you certainly would) that you Sir, are not being at all truthful.

What's next? You probably want to compare penis size? Keep stalking...you can't help it.

Your type of intolerance and cynicism of others and others' ideas knows no bounds. You should have listed your IQ as well.

He never does.......he's a knob.

I am glad I am not clever enough to engage him, but smart enough to recognise the type.

Nothing I said indicated I do not like Christian threads. Nothing.

You must be reading into it a bit, don't ya think?

It was a simple observation. I guess the new observation should be "how many read this in differing ways"?

The christian threads almost invariably devolve down to bible quotes at twenty paces over who is the right kind of christian and why the other one is going to hell.
