A MUM had her baby taken off her just an hour after giving birth – because of her violent boyfriend’s links to a neo-Nazi group.
The newborn boy was taken into care because social workers were worried about the woman’s ‘‘violent and dangerous’’ boyfriend who has contacts with a far-right organisation.

Gosh, I hope this mother was offered the chance to move away with her child if she wished and leave the boyfriend behind, if it's the case that his violence affects their relationship. It's not unheard of for people to undergo an identity change for protection.
If it is just because of his links then it seems very extreme.

It's a difficult one.
On one hand Combat 18 are pretty violent. Baby P's murderer was a member...
On the other hand, the Mother It appears has no links to them but she could be Influenced by him.

She is seen as very submissive to him. I've never understood this strange attraction submissive women have for violent men but it isn't uncommon. I can only suggest that even the mother doesnt figure and any decision made is purely for the protection of the baby and that alone. It's extreme but we dont know how extreme this man is.

Myabe some of these men have a very charming side too? At least, in the beginning of a relationship? Maybe some women feel protected by a violent man? I don't know, but it's an interesting topic...

I can't explain it either and I've been there (although evidently my one wasn't generally violent in public, just at home!). It was the thought of the future for my children that made me stronger to get away, to have your little boy make the statement 'Mummy, you're scared of Daddy aren't you?' is a sobering question.
I guess now, I can't understand why a woman wouldn't get up and fight for a decent life for the sake of the children.

Not sure that the violence always figures at first, there's quite often a very possessive side to the man which maybe a woman interprets as it really must be love as he cares so much about me, mixed in with charm such men can usually turn on when needed, I think most women would be won over. I think you get used to this being treated as a possession and you end up taking it as the norm.
Things change slowly, and often escalate when children come into the equation, and before you know it the woman is taking the blame thinking she made him do it, she made him loose his temper and hit out etc etc. I suspect if you are under such a spell there is little to be done until you realise this isn't normal and find the strength and courage to get out.

It has to be entirely for the welfare of the child, the people on the ground know the full details, we only get a brief outline.

It depends on what he's been Involved In and any criminal violent convictions along with her unwillingness to leave him. I guess they would have at least given her that option.
