Both have been sentence to a minimum of one year in a juvenile detention institution with the maximum stay of until they are 21.
Mays faced an additional charge of the use and dissemination of nude images of a minor. He received the same sentence for that to run consecutively.

Well, I thought the UK had some lilly livered Judges but this just seems so wrong...
I'm not fooled by their tears and heartfelt apologies to the victim's families for a minute.
Their tears were for themselves.
In some way I can understand high jinks and them being so drunk that they never comprehended the ramifications to their victim In the heat of a bawdy party but to post themselves raping her onto a public social networking site was calculated actions to cause her the most humiliation possible with everyone who knew her.
Every time someone played that video, I Imagine to her, she was raped over and over again and that deserves life not one year.
There was a very similar case here In the UK some years ago where a young woman had her drink spiked at a party. Three men took her home and gang raped her In front of her two year old child who could be seen crying In the film posted on facebook. The woman didn't even know It had happened until police contacted her and when they did she saw the film. The result was that she killed herself. These two are lucky their actions didn't cause the same.... If my memory serves me correct, the three In the UK were given 12 years each.

But, because of their age, that's all the time they'll get. The one boy got an extra year for posting those pics on the net.

I would Imagine she will have to re-live this for the rest of her life, even change her Identity and move away from the area.... just being on the SO register Is not enough.... Yeah, I am pretty upset by violence against women (it's against the CODE OF THE WEST!) and I expecially hate violence against children so I had some other punishments in mind as well...

Now that will be Interesting given that In 1983 a precedent was set In the USA In the gang rape case of Cheryl Araujo when those who watched the rape and did nothing, even cheering the rapists on were also convicted.
