to find a photo on Facebook of two guys at petrol pumps, both had pulled up to pumps and their fuel caps were on the side of the car furthest away from the pump. They were both happily filling their cars with fuel.

Whoever had taken the photo branded these two guys idiots for not choosing the 'right' pump for their car, as did numerous commenters on the photo.

I'm just stunned that the men happily fuelling up should be branded the idiots :-2

The idiot is the person taking the photo that evidently joins a queue for certain pumps rather than just use any of them, since when were petrol pumps meant to be only used the way the photographer evidently thinks they should be. :wah:

There have been a few times when I've had to pump gas the same way.......and it works.

I agree with you, Betty. What's the big deal?

Seems I must be an idiot as I often fill up that way. I will not sit in a queue for fuel, it's my pet hate, not sure I can remember the last time I did get to a pump and not have to pull the hose round the back of the car. I'm not prepared to sit in the queues that are always there waiting for the 'right' side :wah:

Some people don't have the common sense to realise that the hoses are actually made long enough so that you can fill up from either side. I often do that as well rather than wait in a queue for a pump when there is one not in use. Sometimes you can almost feel the palpable resentment at you "queue jumping" or occasionally the dawning realisation hey that's a great idea. You get people queuing to get at the "right side when in reality half the pumps are not in use.

I know I've done that before, just can't remember when hoses were long enough.

In fact a most embarrassing moment is pulling up on the wrong side and having to pull around to the other side. Not like I haven't owned my pick-em-up since 2000. :-5
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.
