This was my Grammar school built In 1614. It's so old that desks have ' Willy Shakespeare woz ere ' carved In them. It had no heating, stone floors, no carpet, stone stairs, metal stair rails, corridors were barely lit and the library was haunted. Did we complain ? No.... health and safety HA

You forgot teachers had the right to beat children as and when they thought fit sometimes just for the sadistic pleasure of it and anyone complaining was just a bolshie troublemaker. We had to put up with the tawse, the cane has always seemed rather perverted.
