hp desk jet 3650

being the starving student l am , l was given a printer to enable me to print off uni stuff. Unfortunately it didn't come with a disk, so my pc won't recognise it..

does anyone know where l could go to download the boot disk for a HP desk jet 3650.

l would really appreciate any help:)

It might be worth trying the HP website ....that's all I can think of.

Once you get the disk , then you have to think about ink, or do what I do and get it printed down the library, :wah: well its my scottish upbring .

HP ink is soooooo expensive, even the generic ones!

thanks for the input folks..

Abbey l know they are expensive but l got it for free, and lm really trying to stick at my budget..

I wish l could go out and splurge on a all in one printer scanner, a digital dictaphone and maybe a couple of other bits, but alas my pocket cannot help!:(

I would go to the library, but they still charge and being a mum aswell means l have to fit everything around my other duties, which means working at night..

For some reason, I can't copy the file to this forum. So, you'll have to do it yourself.

Go to HP's site - www.hp.cpm

On the page that opens, click on Software and Driver Downloads (bottom right corner of bloke picture).

Look down the new page, where it says "For product", in the box next to it, type in "hp deskjet 3650" and then click on the chevron just to the right of the box.

In the new page, click on Microsoft Windows XP.

In the new page, click on HP Deskjet Full Feature software Driver.

In the new page, scroll down until you see "Download Now" and click on it.

In the pop up dialog box, click on save.

In the save dialog box, create a folder for the download and click save (bottom right of dialog box).

Wait for the download.

When the download has finished, go to the folder and open the file to install the drivers.

Let me know how you get on Venus.

unfortunately l forgot to open uo a folder for it so lve got a muddle to sort out..

This may help. Click on the Start button. Click on Search. Click on All files and folders. Copy this (or type it in) into the box under "All or part of the file name" 3600_enu_win2k_xp.exe

This will locate the download for you.
