Horse racing Is about the horses full stop.

Yet, at Royal Ascot In the presence of Her Majesty, because Ascot Is also associated with fashion, us horse lovers are forced to watch witless presenters banging on about someone's hat.

Facebook and all horse racing sites this week have been awash with ' Who the bloody hell Is that awful Yank' ? And that's the most polite comment I can put here.

Truely Truely bloody awful squawking woman who we are all agreed sent us scrambling for the remote control every time she opened her mouth, to hit the mute function.

Channel 4 has apparently already come under fire for using the woman.
