I lived in the Sacramento area for quite a long time and the summers there are a killer. I had a car without A/C and I'd end up with sweat marks down the front of my shirts... very attractive.

I can handle the dry heat here at 100 plus more so than 85 F with high humidity like Tampa, Florida where I once lived.

Sacramento is humid compared to the Salt Lake City area... we're lucky to get 25% humidity during the summer unless we get a big thunderstorm roll in off the lake.

So far, this year has been GREAT!!

We have had one day above 90f all spring.

By this time last year we had 30 days, and the A/C had been running since the second week of May.

This year, I have had the windows open since April 20th

I could stand to go through the whole summer like this.

How nice

Our windows & doors are shut probably until September...

I'll keep trying - maybe some nights will cool down.:-2

I survived 122 degrees - closed the Airport for planes in or going out.

Lars

so, you ran into a little heat did you?..:yh_rotfl

It's Death Valley.! you made me laugh. :yh_rotfl too funny when people come across extreme heat - actually takes your breath away.

It's tough to take for 3 to 4 months.. I'll do it before I shovel snow again..

Well I don't mind shoveling a little snow, if it means avoiding summers in the sauna (Dry or steam.)

I grew up in the South. I'll see your Death Valley and raise you the Okeefenokee, or Atchafalaya for a summer. 100+ degrees with 100+ % humidity. No, thank you, ma'am. I am SO done with that.

Me, I like it when the thermometer seldom gets above 90 and the humidity is a nice muggy 35%.

I've got used to the Colorado weather, and like it just fine, thank you. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right

Well it's going to top 85 here in Seattle and people are dropping on the street. I remember being in Virginia weather, 100f-100% humidity. I'll take Siberia any day.

I feel for you.

Today, we spent driving across Iowa. The temp hovered in the high sixties and lower seventies, and all afternoon we kept running into rain showers.

I think tomorrow, as we cross Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, we can expect more of the same.

This summer has been a lot nicer than last in the Midwest.

Where are you headed?

I see your usually on the road - I love road trips & with this heat we're do to go...

Have you ever made it to Yellowstone? That's beautiful country.

it's 107 at 7:20 p.m... at least now there's a little air to breathe.

Be careful - sometimes those rain showers can be blinding.

You're just east of me. I like the summers in Utah a lot more than the ones in Sacramento but I could do without the snow and ice in winter. Somewhere that's no colder than 35 and no hotter than 85 would be perfect.

Thanks Tabby

But this hot hot heat is difficult to explain unless you've experienced it.

That Fan would just shoot hot oven air at you.

News channels all read - heat alert - do not go out unless absolutely necessary.

all the elderly - ill - animals should all stay in doors etc..

If one has a pool - your dry in a minute once out.

I never thought 107 degrees would be a temp to look forward to.:-2

Can you imagine seeing this guy taking a run..:yh_rotfl & with the rest of the crew..

Our streets are empty - ghost town - I'd think he's a robber or on good drugs..! Both?

May the force be with him.

Thanks
