Nottingham ... More Than Just Rodin Hood.
Been watching the first Ashes test match being played at Trent Bridge Nottingham on Cable TV.
Whilst I have visited most of the main tourists centres in Britain, I have not so far been to Nottingham which I think may be my loss. The SpecSavers blimp has been showing an aerial image of this city and I have found it to be most interesting.
The river Trent seems to flow right thru the city and is a wide, and at the moment, tranquil watercourse. Next to Trent Bridge there is another stadium which I assume is the home of the Notts County Football Club and below it a rather attractive I-shaped building.
I think that I will visit Nottingham next time I am in England!

I think you'll find that's Notts Forrest's City Ground - Notts County's Meadow Lane is just the other side of the river next to the canal.

Of course! I completely forgot about Nottingham Forest football Club.
I liked the late Brian Clough and his son Nigel was a great player.
Any idea what the I-shaped building is Bryn? Its quite close to the river between the two grounds.

Start messing around with my name, little man, and you'll have yours splashed around my next hundred posts alongside more contact details than you can remember. I've told you about that before.
