Sky unlimited anytime broadband and phone - is this a better deal then TalkTalk plus?

Post by Aura »

I am currently a TalkTalk plus customer with free broadband, my last landline bill was £33.45, it has been £31-32 something in the past.

I then walked into car-phone warehouse to enquire about a new mobile and the sales rep told me about a deal that Sky broadband were doing called Sky unlimited talk any time which gives me unlimited internet access, phone calls for £24.50 for a month (or year) then £29.50 afterwards.

My live date with Sky is 20th of this month.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal please? :-3

Many thanks.

Be very wary Aura.

Make sure you check out how long the deal lasts for.

All the companies are competing against each other all the time and what you have to be very careful of Is the terms of contract.

What you can find, Is you get lured Into switching to save a few quid only to find that a year down the line, your contract time Is up and then find yourself with Increased charges and an even higher bill than you had In the first place only then to find you can not cancel your contracts for say 3 years. They put that In to stop you switching to another company when they put their charges up after your ' Trail Periord'/

Make sure you read all the small print and ask How long the discounted price stands for and how long you must stay with their company before you can switch supplier again.

Talk Talk just talked me into changing from Virgin cabled Broadband, Telephone and TV thrown in free.....they say.

Virgin then price matched them to keep my good custom.

Play them off against each other.........they need your business.
I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

I spoke through a Sky chat room last night and he said the deal lasted a year or month (cant remember) before going back to it's original price. My friends with Sky and says she hasn't had a problem with them yet.

They will most likely send me a new modem etch, can you tell me if it's easy to fix up?

I pay for my Sky TV seperatly and I get approched by them all the time to switch and I refuse to even listen to them. Same as all those companies who approach me to switch my gas and electric from British Gas. I like to stick with what I know and who I trust.

It's worrying that your deal only lasts 12 months... please be wary.
