The dentist who purchased John Lennon's rotten molar for $31,000 at a 2011 auction now has plans for the tooth: He's getting it genetically sequenced in the hopes of cloning the musician, who died in 1980

What if it's not his?

I'd assume there's been DNA testing of the tooth.

I don't know why the dentist would want to clone Lennon though. Image's already been written and the elaborate news conferences have all been done.

It just struck me that there might be thousands of fans with locks of hair, teeth, used cups, towels, underpants etc.etc. in their valued collections that not what they seem.

Perhaps they should all get together and just paste him back together. Then they'd figure out what fits and what doesn't. That's about as worthwhile an exercise in authenticity as any.

And where'd he find another Yoko? Slash maybe? Taking Lennon into a gay relation might be a good selling point today. Okay, I'm beginning to see it.
