Old Doesn't Always Mean Antique.

But by the same token old doesn’t always mean worthless either. As we progress further into the 21st century, more and more items that many of us living today grew up with around us, are now collectable and therefore both valuable and very saleable.

So if you have any of the following packed away in a cupboard or gathering cobwebs in your garage or storeroom, think twice before you give them away or take them to a dump.

Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox & Tinplate Cars & Toys.

Enamel & Painted Advertising Signs.

Tea, Cigarette, Tobacco & Toffee Tins.

Automobile Badges & Mascots.

Lead Soldiers & Other Figures.

Automobile, Bicycle & Railway Lamps.

Old Bicycles.

Kiddies Pedal Cars.

Ceramic Demi-Johns & Bottles.

Pharmacist Drug Rounds (Bottles & Jars.

Old Wooden Beer & Soft Drink Crates.

Electric Trains & Toy Steam Engines.

Costume Jewellery & Marcasite.

Kitchen Canisters & Cornish Ware.

Old Luggage Including Suitcases, Hat Boxes & Vanity Cases.

Old Radios & Gramophones.

Military Medals, Badges & Uniforms.

Vintage Clothing.

Electric Guitars & Amplifiers.

Scientific Instruments & Telescopes.

Fly Fishing Rods & Reels.

Share Certificates.

Telephones.

Rocking Horses.

Coffee Grinders, Churns, Mangles.

Wooden Chests & Tool Boxes.

Travel Trunks & Sea Chests.

Meccano Sets.

Ceramic Wall Flying Ducks.

Enamel Ware.

Military Swords, Bayonets & Daggers.

You are so right.

I was astonished very recently. I was clearing out my garage and a visitor spied a 1960's retro magazine rack that I was about to throw In the skip. He Insisted It was worth money so I looked.

My husband put It on e bay and £45 thank you very much.
