forgiveness
a interesting subject...why do people find it so hard and other dont, life is so short...
i found myself today asking for forgiveness , and it got me thinking 'again' :wah:
the story ' may ' unfold when or if i get that forgiveness :-3 but my brain
requires your thoughts
'Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.'

Of course it will depend on exactly what you are asking forgiveness for.
Personally if someone murdered, raped or tortured a family member or a friend of mine, forgiveness would be out of the question.
On the other hand if they borrowed my lawnmower and didn't return it, forgiveness would be easy.

forgiveness
In my experience, most people do not forgive; will not sit down together to open their hearts, to be honest & truthful. The internet is different; it's impersonal.

No. What crime against you or your loved ones would you forgive?

My ex husband was extremely cruel and violent... not just to me but not the kind of guy you'd want to bump Into and spill his beer. Dear God, even at the tender age of 19 years old, someone took a sawn off shotgun to him and tried blowing him away.
I spent 13 years with a monster that I used to pray would change every day.
In 13 years, I was admitted to hospital or In A and E 31 times ranging from broken bones to head Injuries.
A few years after I left, I bumped Into his Fathers, Mother and we got chatting.
My Ex's husbands Father was In the Royal Marines and was once the guy who took new recruits up to The Brecon Beacons for training so he was away from home a huge amount. Granny told me that as a child my Ex was brutally and systematically battered by his Mother In his Fathers absence Including being locked In cupboards for days.
The cruelty all suddenly slotted Into place.
I never told him Granny had spilled the beans but I forgave him wholely.
We keep In touch and when I'm down home In Brighton we meet up.
Life's too short to carry grudges... Invariably, there will be some rhyme or reason.

There are always extremes outside the box and maybe i should have given more information
...it is a very broad subject one im giving a lot of thought to ..
but lets say a subject ive touch on before ..how a partner can treat you for instantce
a person u have been cruel to or treated unfairly
someone thats done damage to your property
because if it was something so bad like hurting family etc then i guess ..its a different thing that needs
more thought...although i do forgive ' does that make me a strong person ' im not sure , revenge may cross
my mind im not sure .....so that would make we week ? mmmm interesting how things unfold

It is hard to even ask for forgiveness.
It is even harder to forgive.
But to do so is the path to your own peace.
The more unimaginable it becomes to forgive someone their act, the more important for your own soul it becomes to try to do so.

If you believe you need to forgive another person it might be time to take an accounting of your arrogance.

God cant't forgive murder and I wouldn't pretend to.
Real forgiveness can only come with compensation and a sincere apology.
Somethings can't be compensated for. When that happens, revenge is the cure.

I agree with that . I never forgive. I find more value in understanding a person/nation/organisation/company in what they have done and expect them to fix it, rather than forgive them. "Forgiveness" is such a religious word that keeps individuals and sometimes whole nations in their place.
