Why Do We Even Bother Having Prisons Anymore?

The late Michael Jackson's ex-doctor, I think his name is Conrad Murray, is now a free man. He's gonna write a book, well a ghost writer will probably do it and he's gonna make a bundle.

And so it goes on and on ... why?

Well because the left who seem to control everything, believe that felons no longer go to prison to do hard time and pay for their crimes. No, they go to Correctional Facilities where they can be rehabilitated.

Wot a larf! The only "rehabilitation" they ever receive is from inmates who teach them new tricks!

The inmates of most prisons are not unlucky guys/girls who made a mistake and will never ever stuff up again. No, our prisons are mostly filled with inmates who have been there done that and when released will be back inside in quick time.

Isn't it time to stop this farce and make a prison sentence exactly what it’s supposed to be ... a punishment?

We have similar In the UK with Open Prisons but I disagree.

It depends on the severity of the crime and wether It was pre-meditated and non-violent.

Most of us regular folk will never see the inside of a prison for a felony even once. One would think twice in prison would be more than enough.

Well, there seems to be some people who are just to dangerous to be allowed to walk the streets with the rest of us ans they are the ones committing most of the crime.

Lock them up, instant reduction in crime.
