So what's on for New years eve?
It's the 31st today ...here. I'll inform you all how it all pans out.
I don't know what the heck I'm doing yet spoiled for choice. Which fireworks to go to, Which community get together to go to. Or do I just sit at home and go to bed early?

I've spent tonight preparing a fancy dress outfit :-3 apparently I should be wearing around the town tomorrow night. I may well opt for a little black or purple number instead :wah:

Great toast! I just happen to be expert in making delicious, perfect Egg Creams. I'm downright gifted in the art.

Chuckle. I'm finding New Year a bit difficult since giving up alcohol - for my friends and I it's always been a very boozy occasion after the formal and more restrained family Christmas. I think I will be staying quietly at home. And feeling very smug that I have managed to give up the booze.

The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"
Lone voice: "I'm not."

I was just telling the wife that it's all done, now. They did all the celebrating back east, and we can relax, but she ain't happy til she watches the ball drop in Times Square.
Me, I like to sleep through the festivities and go fishing at dawn New Year's Day.

My sister, nephews and niece in law were in Times Square last night.
My home town was fairly quiet, we found a party and danced most of the night, ouch my feet :wah:

I bet they had fun. A lot of people were there.
I managed to sneak off to bed right after the ball drop, and was happily freezing my little tail off at the river when the sun broke through the clouds this morning.
All around me I could hear Canada Geese waking and taking flight in the fog.
As soon as I am properly warmed, I guess I will go out and bring in the Christmas decorations.

I managed to acquire two pinkies (Salmon) and three flatheads without a rod yesterday. I did very well. lol
I was sitting at the pier watching the boats come in and thinking "if only the swimmers on the beach knew how many sharks are being caught today." Beautiful 5 foot gummy shark that was bought in yesterday will give a few feeds for the old guys who caught it.

Those damn Canada Geese are everywhere. So dumb, I once saw a flock fly North for winter! We humans watching them had a good laugh.

I thought that once about some migratory birds but apparently they have a certain meeting point/path and then go from there. We have those birds that head off from one of our Islands in the south to ...Siberia or Syria? something like that. They always look like they are taking the long way round.

Oh dear, the New York New Year revellers have managed to get out of New York after a delay but missed their next flight and are currently stuck in Toronto until Sunday at the earliest!

Think they flew back overnight, appeared in Heathrow around 7am this morning but didn't get out the airport until lunchtime as two cases had gone missing. Then they had to hire a car to get them home to Cornwall.
