I've been there, done that from Africa to Great Britain to Europe to America so it takes a lot to impress The Chosen.
However, I always give credit where it is due and I have to say that the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics (which is still on-going) is without a shadow of doubt one of the finest I have ever witnessed.
Well done Comrade Putin and the Federation of Russia!!

I will agree that the opening ceremonies were very well done with everything from a carnival to singing police to flying horses!

...but what impresses me the most is the drive behind the athletes. The endless practice and total commitment to being the best. That takes a special type of person. And most of them are young...giving up most of their "mall shopping and party time" to stay focused.
Tonight I watched the figure skaters, one of my favorites; and what they can do and how they perform is breathtaking. I wish I was able to skate so gracefully and do triple toe jumps and land on me feet. Hahahaha I am lucky to do that sometimes when just walking with out the jump!
then the extreme skiers....it made my knees hurt just watching them going thru the moguls!
Any way I salute them for who they are and what they have accomplished. :yh_clap
