Ralph Waite John Walton dies

Actor Ralph Waite, best known for playing John Walton Sr - Papa Walton - in the long-running TV show The Waltons, has died at the age of 85.

Aww I grew up watching the Waltons. That was about people from around here. I've been to the Walton's museum a couple of times. It's a couple hours drive from here more up into the mountains where the man who wrote the story actually lived.

It was a must see, in those long lost days of innocence.

It was the era that my parents grew up in and it was interesting to see some of the stuff they used to talk about.
