mmmm pancakes with strawberry jam.... mmmma i think i´ll go and make some for myself and practice some tossing.

Generally, In the UK, we eat ours with lemon and sugar. I don't toss mine. I'm a more, gently flip over type kind.

Eewww - how very greasy.

There has to be some butter to cook them but the lemon juice is there to cut through it and the sugar is there to take away the sourness of the lemon - a perfect balance.

Long ago when one of my jobs was to prepare crepes mise en place I have tried them in a variety of ways.

They are nice quickly folded around icecream while hot, or one of my favourites wrapped around a wedge of cold butter with a sprinkle of salt.
