Oh the Irony... my second post In my ' It's that time of year again' a few weeks ago was to ask " Will we get another Wishful Thinking moment when horse and rider crashes at 45 mph through a barrier taking out a photographer?"

It's amazing that the horse didn't seem to be hurt after demolishing a plastic barrier and crashing into a TV camera and cameraman! The horse is being filmed as it collides with the camera - I saw this on Ch.4 as it happened !

No, I only wanted to catch the Gold Cup, but I'd switched it on early and caught the previous race ! So I didn't see the first race when Ruby and horse fell whilst they were leading the field ! Whatever was Ruby Walsh booed for ?

On the first day, In the Champion Hurdle, Our Conor suffered a fatal fall. The horse wasn't some old nag, not that It matters but the winner of the previous years Triumph Hurdle. A young Champion full of promise. There wasn't a dry eye to be seen as he was euthanised on the track. Immediately after the race and live on TV, Ruby was being Interviewed and he said horses were easily replacable In relation to the loss of Our Conor.
That's why he was boo'd and mocked when he broke his arm just before the Gold Cup.
