How interesting oscar! I wish Lake City, Florida had blocked off the road when there was a frog (or toad) migration. I'll never forget the sound of our car's wheels --- "crunch crunch crunch". Yuk. But we were driving along & there they came with no warning or time to stop.

We get It big time In our lane Anne. I don't where they come from nor where they go but they are out In the hundreds at night. Apparently ,many many years ago, our homes were built on marsh land so that may have something to do with It. Out lane Is a dead end so It's pretty much residents only who know what to expect. Previous years, coming home at night, we'd have to park up and literally clear a path before being able to pull Into the drive.

Interesting !!! I'd still pick them up to clear a path and throw them over the nearest hedge.
