Women of UMOJA

i came across this accidently last night on Telly. And considering threads that piss me off right now, it was quite refreshing to see.

If you are unable to see the vid which I hope you can because it really was quite interesting. Giving me the deep sense of "What if women here did that?" What would be the outcome? i hope my explanation is succinct enough to get an idea.

So it's about a tribe of women ...........no men allowed ...........just women. adn how did this women only tribe come about?

Well in these extremely patriarcal tribes, women do all the work ........literally, they build the buildings, tend the flock, cook, clean, bare the children and raise them basically single handedly and are not educated.............etc etc etc. What is the purpose of the men you ask? Nothing ...they are men they don't have to lift a finger ..........literally!!! They do not even have to wooh a Woman because one will be given to them. yep I mean literally nothing!!!

But that's not all. if these women are raped, not coming up to the expectations of the men, cant have children, .............well just any excuse really, they are beaten ..kicked out of their homes and ostricized. they are not allowed to take their children with them and they are left to starve.

they treat their cattle better than this.

So little miss comes along and says ...........**** em' we'll build our own village and live by ourselves. And they did ..and are thriving.

And there was one question I had when watching this show but in time the reporter asked them . What about sex? What do the women do for sex? Well that's not a problem because they are all circumsized. they sit around and laugh about sex. (you kind of know what they're laughing about) Basically they will find a man to procreate and that's it. they don't need them after that.

So in essence the men of their village made themselves obsolete. Scary thought?
