My Faux pas

I can honestly say today's faux pas on my part beats what I did a few weeks ago hands down. That saw me walk Into the Vet's and announce I had arrived for my Dental appointment. Whoops, wrong shop.

I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of a new Pet's At Home store In a shopping precinct a mile from my home. Tis a wonderous store that sells everything for pets but most have a Consultant Vet and a Grooming Centre.

I was thrilled because I have been having to travel miles to my nearest one.

So, my first time In the new store today and I see a large sign saying ' Grooming department Upstairs'.

I reached the top of the stairs and In front of me Is a long desk with 3 women and a man on telephones behind the desk.

One asks ' Yes, can I help you'?

Yes, hello, I'd like to book a hygiene shave please.

A what ?

Hygiene shave.

What's that?

You know, a bath and shave of the anus area. You do have that service don't you?

Penny drops...

You want the Grooming department through that door over there. We're the general enquiries helpline.

I am so sorry, It's my first time here, Thank you.

Ten minutes later I came out and as I walked past, the woman called out ' Did you find the service you were after?

I just couldn't resist could I.

' Yes, thank you very much... I booked my husband In for next week.

I am just happy to see you are expanding your repetoire of foriegn languages, now it's faux pas and spelled correctly.
