Can you help me pick out a song?
I'm looking for a piece of music to sing in church for three womens' voices. Our ranges are from tenor (yes, my mom sings tenor) to soprano. The scripture is on Job, and we were thinking a piece about trusting in God, or letting go, something of that nature. We're stumped! If anyone has any ideas, I'd be quite grateful.

The first thing that came to me was I Come to the Garden Alone. I couldn't find the lyrics.
This is the second thing that came to mind:
He Leadeth Me: O Blessed Thought
Text: Joseph H. Gilmore, 1834-1918
Music: William B. Bradbury, 1816-1868
Tune: HE LEADETH ME, Meter: LM with Refrain
--------------------------------------------
1. He leadeth me: O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.
Refrain:
He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.
2. Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,
by waters still, o'er troubled sea,
still 'tis his hand that leadeth me.
(Refrain)
3. Lord, I would place my hand in thine,
nor ever murmur nor repine;
content, whatever lot I see,
since 'tis my God that leadeth me.
(Refrain)
4. And when my task on earth is done,
when by thy grace the victory's won,
e'en death's cold wave I will not flee,
since God through Jordan leadeth me.
(Refrain)

here it is ACC....in the garden
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
Chorus
And He walks with me, And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
Verse 2
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet, The birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing.
Verse 3 I'd stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; Through the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
Chorus
And He walks with me, And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;

But He bids me go; Through the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.

Both good suggestions...I'm kind of digging He Leadeth Me, seems to match the scripture. Plus we recently did "In the Garden" and heaven forbid we repeat. I'll suggest to the ladies and let's hope they like it!

How about something contemporary like "Morning has broken" or something from "Godspell" like "Day by Day"?

Oh Dear Lord
Three things I pray
To see thee more clearly
Love thee more dearly
Follow thee more nearly
