Well, It may be just me, but Ebay is not a place that I would have ever thought to search for Nose Trimmers.

Perhaps your continueing campaign against the BBC's poor grammar and speeling (spot the mistakes) might be better targetted at Ebay.

Did you know you can search for mis-spellings and get a bargain......in this case Nose Trimmer might reasonably been down as No strimmer or similar and under Garden stuff.

Just give a spit and wipe with your handerchief they should be alright.

Bruv;1450682 wrote: Did you know you can search for mis-spellings and get a bargainI did that earlier this week on eBay when I found an obscure local CD I'd been after for years, erroneously filed as "preching the blues". I'm eager to play it to all my friends and relations.

eta: I also, oddly enough, bought a dozen large cotton handkerchiefs from eBay which arrived here on Thursday. I wondered as I bid for them what I'd need them for. Life has peculiar aspects I've never quite understood.

I make a couple of thou a year on eBay buying, repairing, and then re-selling a certain article, which I will not name as that might be considered advertising.

I look for misspellings all the time, and find many; in such cases I'm often the only bidder because other potential buyers missed the auction due to the missplelling.

Did I spel misspelling corectly?

How to write good.

1. Avoid Aliteration.Always.

2. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.

3. Avoid cliches like the plague. They are old hat.

4. Comparisons are as bad as cliches.

5. Be more or less specific.

6. Writers should never generalise.

Seven. Be consistent

8. Don't be redundant, don't use use more words than are necessary, it's highly superfluous.

9. Who needs rhetorical questions?

10. Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.

I've just decided to put my Violin on eBay. Why not? I've never used it. I can't play the violin & since I had a nerve removed from my ring finger, I'm never likely to. Plus this is the best time to sell, with the term coming up.

Could be an absolute bargain for someone - besides, I need the dosh.

I also bought a couple of pairs of these last week. Pathetic, yeah? But I can assure you they are brilliant. Makes the glasses fit much better, really comfortable and without the constant rubbing making my skin all sore.
