Looks like fun but not sure if spraying salt all around the kitchen is all that desirable. For now going with the swatters.

Maybe to save money on the expense of shotgun shells, clay/rock and a trip to the gun range to do some trap shooting, I could see some use. Stalking out a piece of dog poo shooting flies may offer some entertainment, for 12 year a old.

Looking at the youtube page of various video I saw a definite plus for this. I have a real fear of wasps. When one gets in my house, all my attention is to rid that pest.

It may be all very well & good for those house flies, but my real 'bug' bear is with the midges / fruit flies. Fly spray doesn't seem to have any effect on them. They're too small to be affected by electric fly zappers. Their reactions & navigational skills are amazing for what must be an incredibly small brain / nervous system. Smaller than a grain of sand they get everywhere - I even find them in my fridge & into airtight bags.

I know they're harmless, but they're so infuriatingly IRRITATING!!

I will refer you back to the argument about causing offence/being offended, I think the same could apply to minute flies.
