what are your plans for the holiday? traditions? decorations? recipes? anything you care to share? any greetings? say Merry Christmas here to all your friends on the board.... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE! :-4 ... i will work, but that's ok, i have no little kids at home and would rather fill in for someone who does. this is all i did this year...put out red and blue lights for officers killed in the line of duty. no time to set up my "Dickens" village....we drew names at work to give a small gift, and we will come into squad room an hour early for a little party, bringing covered dishes. what will YOU be doing?

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

This is the first time in my life that I have lived so far away from my family.
Meeting all of you has cheered me up the past couple of weeks. I will leave Georgia Christmas eve when we close. Drive home to Virginia. ( 9 hours )
I have a new grandson born to my youngest son and his wife. Liam. I havent seen him yet. We will all have Christmas dinner at my moms. Shes a great cook.
It wouldnt matter though if there wasnt a crumb of food, or a gift to be found.
Just having a new baby around for the holidays is always thrilling. I am particuarly happy because this boy gave me some frightening grief for quite a few years. H efound his soul mate, I think loving her helped get him on track.
Cant wait to see him as a dad.

I'll be spending Christmas with my family at my older sister's place. Her and her husband are really big on Christmas. But they've predicted that its gonna be a really hot day on Christmas day. Yes, its summer here in Oz. No white christmases. We generally celebrate my birthday as well since its the day after. And no, its not that great to have your birthday so close to Christmas.
Not sure if everyone celebrates Boxing DaY (the day after Christmas) but we get another public holiday here which is great.
Have a merry Christmas everyone.

LC, I'm sure your friends here at the Forum will be thinking of you on Christmas, as I know I will be doing, wishing you well and to be safe! (Take care, as I'm sure you will. You have to!)
Our tradition is all our relatives gather at my Sister-In-Laws house (out of state)for Christmas dinner on Christmas day! Some of us travel a few hours, My Daugher & her family travel the furthest, as they fly in from Florida. :-6
Christmas eve is usually at my house, the grown ups open their gifts. The little ones open their gifts from the Grandparents, Aunts, & Uncles. Christmas day they open the gifts from their parents! It's a time for sharing, caring, and happiness, all around. It's a great time of the year!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!
