I sometimes get annoyed that they are referred to as 'Hostages'. Once they fall into the hands of IS there is no hope for them whatsoever. A hostage is a bargaining chip with which to get what the perpetrator wants with the promise of releasing the hostage if they get it. It's obvious they are never going to get what they want, so there is never going to be any chance of 'hostages' being released alive. Using the term 'hostage' just gives false hope.

The company I am now working for (CfBT) deals primarily in schools around the world, recently having earned contracts in Libya & Syria which, understandably, they are now pulling their people out from.

Personally, I just can't understand the logic behind such atrocities. The only thing it serves to do is to get people so riled up that they support the attacks on IS more & more. If they were to leave Neutrals out of it, they could justifiably claim "Look, this is purely an internal matter - we are not getting you involved in our affairs", and they would get public support from the public protesting against getting involved in the first place. I just don't get it.

I know that my mate, Ebe, who is a devout Shia Muslim, tried to deny all this IS business was going on when the murders first started, saying that it couldn't be so, because it went so totally against all that is Muslim & therefore they couldn't really be Muslims at all. That it was more likely some form of lying propaganda. That is until he had it confirmed at his Mosque by his Imams, who are outraged at all the killings. He now believes that they are not true Muslims, but using the Muslim banner to cover their own atrocities & power agendas, and swears that Allah will send them to Hell for what they've been doing.

ISIS are Shia Muslims ethnically cleansing Sunni. They are made up In the main of Iraqi Al Qaeda Shia and Syrian Muslim Brotherhood. What's now developed, Is this pass the buck culture that blames one faction over the other but the fact remains, both Shia and Sunni are In the name of Islam.

The USA and Sunni's overthrew Al Qaeda In Iraq In 2006. In 2011 they re-emerged having released many prisoners held by the Iraqi government and got stronger. Al Qaeda earlier this year distanced themselves from ISIS claiming they were too blood thirsty. Apparently beheading babies was not In their remit but were perfectly OK with slaughtering thousands of Innocent people In the Twin Towers.

I find the way they pose the head with the body thoroughly distasteful given they know the photographs will be leaked. One can only assume this is carried out in some sick, perverse manner in order to cause the family the most distress. I just hope allied forces are swift in their justice for this poor man and his family.

Actually I think you'll find it's the other way round. IS being Sunni trying overthrow Shia. Easy mistake to make though. Not much difference between them, though.

I watched a video last night of ISIS killing an estimated 250 captured Syrians. They were all lined up on their knees and the line seemed to go on for miles. They were then all shot In the head by a large group of ISIS militants shouting ' Allahu Akbar' at the tops of their voices. In that line, were women. So sorry, but this Is about religion.

Later Into the night, I watched another video of US forces taking out a group of ISIS militants. That sort of evened things up for me and I went to bed happier. Well done America !!!

While I generally agree about the Religious aspect, I question if that is the real 'reason'.

One of the reasons I am totally opposed to Religion in all shapes & forms, is because it is the singlemost cause of pretty much every conflict on earth ever since Man first picked up a club. However, it must be asked if it's really to do with Religion itself, or using the banner of Religion to meet their own ends.

As you have already mentioned, Muslims all over the UK, of both Shia & Sunni sects are up in arms (no pun intended) about the actions of IS, as it goes totally against the teachings of the Qur'an, and that they see that for IS to claim that they what they are doing is in the name of Islam is insulting to all peaceful Muslims.

Christians are no better. Throughout history Christians have been slaughtering & torturing those of other Religions, as well as those of other Christian sects in the name of God, Love & Peace, whilst there are other true believers who feel contempt for these actions. The thing is that none of this was ever really about Religion. It was always about Power. Religion was just the banner. Nothing's really changed.

Of course there Is another cynical way of looking at British Muslim outrage. Where was their outrage at the slaughtering of Lee Rigby or even the London bombings ? Where was the outrage over the beheading of US James Foley ?

Why now ?

Newspapers are reporting of a Nationalist backlash In Britain and a swing to the Far Right.

Just another angle being asked on some sites and a pretty reasonable question.

I saw absolutely no protest at the London Bombings, James Foley, Steven Sotloff , ... Whether the Killers of Lee Rigby were originally Christian matters not, they converted to Islam, so did the killer of Palmira Silva. That's a cop out.. you can't say ' Oh but he's a new Muslim so It doesn't count'.

We have people who scour local papers all over the country and we have members all over the country, that's how I knew last night some Muslims were taking to the streets.

They did not over other killings and bombings. Thus, It's a reasonable question to ask... why now? Just as newspapers are talking about a Far Right backlash.

You really don't get it do you ? Those you display your disgust at are no different than the likes of Keith Vaz M.P. who slithers out the moment a Muslim appears to have been dealt an injustice. Nationalist organisations and parties, like Rotherham were warning years ago that there would be violence against our armed forces. There's a world of difference between a few Muslims paying their respects by laying flowers In Woolwich and actually going out on the streets In protest.

I am more than pleased they have done so. It Is only when Muslims do join In the condemnation publicly that we will see social cohesion.

Unless you are actually In the public gallery throughout the trial, you simply don't know the truth. I'm not going Into reams of It when I should be delicately seasoning my husbands rump steak, but he was goaded beyond belief by a bunch of scroats that police had failed to act on... very similar to me. Anyway, he lost It, he doesn't deny that and now he's paid the price. His life time teaching ban was unfair... until then he had an exemplary record... I can't say more other than there Is a case against Michael Gove on that ruling. Other teachers have been convicted and been able to return to teaching.

He did a long stint In the Territorials... If he wants to wear his uniform, he can. That's not for you to decide.

When "The Gutter Press" report an official body has banned a teacher for life......................am I to ignore what that might reflect on the man ?

Would his sacking be any nobler if it was reported in a reputable broadsheet ?

He flipped out and rampaged after some.....and I quote...."Scroats" .......a regular decent upstanding figure of the teaching community.....lost it.

Lets make him leader of a political party.

By the way I don't hate Griffin, or Walker, I don't know that emotion, unlike themselves that are consumed with it toward anybody in fact that is different from themselves, by virtue of skin tone,religion, sexual orientation or simply place of birth.

Oh sorry they now officially don't hate them, that would be illegal or immoral or unelectable or......something.
