Every now and then I'm totally thrown by the most bizarre moments...

Why - for what possible reason - has Olly Murs taken to performing on stage as though he's on the crew of the original Star Trek? The yellow uniform, the black stripes, for all I can tell he even has the Enterprise flashes too, I've not stared closely enough to know[1]. Is this a form of post-modernist humour which has so far passed me by?

eta [1]: I just wound back and checked. He has.

And why have I never heard of George Ezra until today? That's one talented fellow. I'll track his album down.

The local duo I've heard a couple of times that impressed me is Mr Moon and Grace. No, you haven't? You ought to. It might be off topic but I thought you should find out anyway.

Have no idea what you're talking about. Guess I'll rely on Google, as usual.

Agree on George Ezra. Talent beyond his years

I liked Budapest the first time I heard it but, as always happens when I like a song on first hearing it, I soon tired of it. And the same goes for several other George Ezra tracks.

And Ed Sheeran seems to be everywhere at the moment and I'm tired of his music too.

Sam Smith...now that's a different story.
