Am listening to all the ships' hooters while sipping back a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Happy New Year everyone.

We are living in a time bubble up here. But as soon as we again produce something of the calibre of Volvo and ABBA, we'll then catch up.

I'm not sure this town has pubs like that any longer, if indeed it ever had them to start with. You're thinking of Bristol.

I've just finished coding this Summer's Training Files for the choir (at least the ones from the Archives - I don't have all the new ones yet - they'll need programming when I get them) & uploading them all to the Choir's Members' Section. One of them is "Thank You For The Music".

Actually, I'm thinking of most of the pubs in the UK. So much drinking on New Year's Eve that I would think the only drinking done on New Year's Day would be the 'Hair of the Dog' from under the pub table !

Yes, and we've lost our edge. Much of Volvo is farmed out to ¦. China(?), SAAB is already a permanent resident there, ABBA are somewhere having a kip in the wings, and Björn Borg is out to pasture. It was a time when we could be proud, when Olaf Palme led the march. But the CIA decided that he was too much of an obstacle to full-blown capitalism and had him done in. Since his passing ¦...... we're now stuffed, and our long-time placement on the top of the World Democracy Index is only a memory, and our initiative has been quelled.

Oh please. There are plenty of suspects & reasons but the CIA is always the only one that suits you.

Assassination of Olof Palme - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not saying they didn't, & I'm aware Palme meant a great deal to you & that you have studied it & came to conclusions, but it's not fair to show other opinions & details.

Looks to me that you have a personal problem. I have a lot to say on various subjects. Where is your criticism when I mention other nations?

Focusing on the U.S. (as to the exclusion of all others) is your personal problem. You do not agree?

Well, it's only you and possibly another who's getting your nose tweeked over it and falling back on no more than a short-card rebuff such as "Oh! Oh! A conspiracy theorist!" and "Stop picking on the U.S." That's it? Taking it "personally" sounds like a "personal problem" to me. So OK .... you don't agree. Would you rather talk about the weather?

Now why would I say that when I pick apart my own country all the time? One lesson Vietnam taught me was just how far the U.S. was entangled & manipulated into Everyone's lives & business. Today is today, & we have more bad actors on the scene than just the CIA, who have been incredibly incompetent lately.

So, how's the weather where you are? Been raining here for 2 days.

I am sure you can answer that question with no trouble. I can.

We had nothing but rain for a couple of months. It changed to snow for Christmas Day (made to order!) but it melted quickly and we're back to the wet again.

On a lighter note, here is how some of my neighbors celebrated the new year.
