What to expect in 2015

Post by tude dog »

We just got done rehashing 2014, what do you expect for 2015?

Plans, ambitions, goals, etc.?

Myself, being semi-retired I have a lot of free time.

My number one project is to greatly expand the garden. I just love giving away (and eating) fresh produce.

No secret here I am a gun person. As much of the nation got into the semi-automatic rifles craze, I went retro. Already bought an 1860 reproduction cap n ball revolver. I love black powder guns and thinking of buying a flint lock rifle. Told the wifey of that plan, her eyes rolled, like I need another gun. So now just thinking of things like holsters and other accessories for the guns I have.

Beyond that, doing a lot of bicycle riding, maybe learn about horse riding.

One thing not to forget, is hunting.

Anyway, what ya all got planned?

I am of the same mind as John Lennon "Life is what happens, while your making other plans"

So I have hopes and intentions but no direct solid plans.

Wanting to fix my shed roof and to redecorate the house is high on my intentions.

I never had you down as a survivalist.
I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

Well, I have some projects to do for work that will keep me pretty busy. Planning to take my nephew up on a camping trip up in the Wind River Range this spring.

Other than that, spending time with grandkids and going fishing.

After this trip, we have decided we want to be Snowbirds, and are going to start working towards that goal in the next year or two.

I'll let you know in February. If I can't gain control over certain aspects of my life, it will be same-old, same-old. Remind me, please.

I could retire myself at the end of this school year, but I'll teach for four more years to close the gap on Social Security and to pay off my home.

My number one project is to greatly expand the garden. I just love giving away (and eating) fresh produce.

My number one project is to trim most, if not all, of the 23 species of trees on my property. I have two done so far. January will be busy. My secondary goal is to finish organizing the right side of the garage. I redid my left side with cabinets and completely upgraded and organized my workbench and shop area this summer, but I never got to the right side of the garage.

I sold guns in my youth as the manager of a sporting goods department. I used to go fire muzzle loaders with friends and customers of mine. Watch out for those .50 cal monsters! Sure they'll blow up a water barrel pretty good, but they'll take out your shoulder as well!

Beyond that, doing a lot of bicycle riding, maybe learn about horse riding.

I love to ride bikes, but after my girl lost her leg, I quit doing it as much since it always makes her a bit sad to see me when she is not fit enough to do it as well.

I have a similar project. The land NE of my property is a forest of trees. I have no idea what kind they are but they are not only enroaching like a wall, but I find baby trees all over the rest of my property. I threaten to push back every year, now is about time.

Funny, I have a similar project. I have called it a barn, but really it is a carriage house. Last year bought a work table and couple of benches. Now need to clean and organize better they yard tools. This not to mention a light source.

LOL Yea, I'll keep that in mind.:) I already have a reproduction 1860 Army revolver which I enjoy as a way to, however so small experience history. The 1860 is a cap n ball, so now I'm thinking flintlock. Go back to 1776. Haven't chosen the rifle yet.

That was probably a good time to go to his wedding.

I'm not going to my friend's funeral because he won't come to mine later.

It's like the saying that you'd be late for your own funeral. I thought you had to be late in order to qualify for a funeral.
