Thank You
My husband bought me a hobby horse. ( I have no Idea why ). There's a button on It's ear that when pressed, makes It neigh.
It sends one of my Jack Russell's Into a fit of attack.... must get that on youtube one day.
Have you seen this ?
When angry horses don't like being beaten

Yeah but then It was Paddy Brenan, Her Majesty The Queen's Jockey so he got all he deserved :wah:
I don't think anyone realises the laughs we have sometimes at the expense of our jockeys....This one features Tom Scudamore who I could be very rude with given a chance,
Mad Moose has nothing on these nutters

How about this one?
Apart from any other consideration I put my dog on a leash near a horse for the simple reason I don;t want it kicked to death.

Me too... Unbelievable that people take their dogs to race meetings and allow them to run loose.... did you see the one where the child wandered onto the course? Unbelievable.

I liked the look on his face afterwards - Like "WTF....?"
And the dog giving the horses a good run for their money - and handling the fences better than some of the horses.

Hey Auld Yin... you nearly got rid of me... I was yards away when this happened last March.
Previous year, I was on the other other side of this but It gave Camilla Parker Bowles a fright.
And you think us race goers have It easy ?
It goes without saying why the BHA replaced all rails on race courses with plastic.

That is brilliant. At first I was wondering what the big deal was - then it became apparent.

Many years ago, ( about 1978 ) my brother the bookie raced Greyhounds. One shining Star ' Captain ' was purchased at The White City before It closed. My brother brought him down to Brighton and what was considered one of the best trainers, Gordon Hodson took him to train to race at the Hove Corals stadium. The dog was used to running 500 metres but Gordon decided to step him up to 680 metres for bigger prize money.
So came the big night of Captain's debut at the stadium. He was backed heavily on the course because out of the 6 runners, he was the only local dog. The stadium was packed out and my entire family were there to cheer him on so proud when he was paraded.
In to Trap 3 and he bolted out going about 10 lengths clear of the rest. Massive cheers went up from the crowds and we were all bursting with pride. He turned the last bend for home 15 lengths clear, reaching the 500 metres mark...... and........ stopped !!!
As the other 5 raced past him, he realised what was happening and started again finishing 3 rd... oh the humiliation.
he made up for It though winning 9 races at Hove, My brother had a very special bond with his boy and It broke his heart when he was found to have cancer. He'd never buy another Greyhound after that.

Haha yeah good one.
Funny you should say that.... some trainers start the dogs off as novices by running along side them and then gradually Introduce other dogs,

Was it an episode of Steptoe & Son where they tried to train a greyhound by riding a bike in front of it, dragging a rag behind the bike (only to later find the dog was crosseyed & needed glasses).
