They are intending to invest almost $900 million into the 2016 campaign. Almost twice what Romney's budget was. They are from the city I have my shop in (Wichita). And they are republicans.

They are mainly in natural gas and oil. They do some good here but it seems like it's more for show than truly caring. Its about 60-40 on the love hate, 60 being for (very conservative Catholic area).

That's the chap, yes. No potential Republican contender knows more about making a White House Administration work then he does. Used to be CEO of a firm called Halliburton. He is, I imagine, wealthy enough to run out of his own pocket.

I'm disappointed that Romney is leaving. I was hoping to have a nice full clown car for the primaries. I guess Rick Perry will have to run, to fill in the comedy gap left by Rmoney.

I will miss Romney trying to act convincingly when he tries to play the role of a down home average 'murican.

Good lord no. Darth Vader has a fully working Death Star with which he destroys entire planets in less than a day. Mr Cheney is far less ambitious and besides, there's no point turning to the Dark Side if you're inadequately trained in the Force to start with. It takes no amount of thinking not to vote Republican, true. I would never, because even if I happened to "like" a Republican, they always vote, lately, as a conservative block. There are Republicans, some, that I can tolerate. About always voting Democrat? I'd like to be able to vote for an independent such as Bernie Sanders, but VT. isn't my state. I do plenty of thinking. I think the Republicans suck. Period. I usually can tell one by the expression on their faces, that's how different from me they are. They are generally tight-assed & hateful, sarcastic & mean-spirited. Not that your average Democrat is a better human, but they are more diverse.

And indeed I heard you say just that. The question is still valid, though. Have you ever voted for a candidate who, coincidentally to your voting for him as a candidate, was standing as a Democrat candidate. By all means say "no" if you haven't, it's just that if you, personally, ignore party lines and vote for the individual every time then it would a an odd answer.

As much as I'm ashamed of some of the votes I cast, here they are in presidential races since 1980: *I was a Born Again Christian only to later learn just how racist they (and I) were. The only votes on the following list I'm comfortable with is Gore, and the two Green Party candidates.

The most recent Republican I voted for locally was a couple of years ago; Tom Shaller for township supervisor.

ETA: Also, there's nothing wrong with party line voting for the purpose of coat-tailing.

Yes, there may be (though not in Brooklyn NY) some local races where the Republican candidate might be the superior one, but in that case I would abstain from voting.

I'm a die hard anti-Republican. I couldn't force myself to vote that way, my Grandma would come back from the dead & beat me.

I would hopefully have a third party candidate I liked, & vote for that person even if he/she had no chance. The two-party system is very confining.
