I think high heel shoes are disgusting. Whenever I see women wearing them my x-ray vision sees their toes - white, pressed and twisted like five, unripe stalks of corn being forced into the small end of a funnel. And the reason they do it? We will never know. We will also never know why they pump their breasts full of silly-cone, giving them a round, highly unnatural bulge. And they actually think that the rest of us believe the illusion of them having large tits – as if that is such a wonderful thing to boast about? Phooey!

I quite agree. Plus you only need to look at the state of elderly women's feet after a lifetime of wearing them to see what damage they are doing to their feet.

I feel the same way about implants (except, perhaps when it is following a mastectomy). Personally I prefer the smaller bust appearance. Bigger ones come across as intimidating.

I am also totally turned off by any form of bodily mutilation whatsoever. To this I mean piercings, of all sorts, and tattoos. Why anyone should want to permanently scar what might otherwise be an otherwise attractive body is beyond me.

Furthermore, as far as make-up is concerned.. Why? It looks vile. I don't know any men who find it attractive, so who are they doing it for? The only purpose I've ever seen t serving in real life is to advertise the availability of a prostitute.

Perfumes can be just as bad when used in excess, as they so frequently are, and can cause irritation to nearby people's eyes & cause breathing problems. It is for this reason that members of the choir were told not to wear it - especially during a performance.

You must be psychic. I didn't want to say all of that because I was certain I was about to be mauled for the little I'd already said. I am pleased to see that I am not the only male on this earth who sees things so clearly – well, from my point of view I mean.

You are a pair of male chauvinists.

Women wear high heels to give them more height and to stretch their calves, making their legs look long and slender, most only wear them for special events and are very happy to take them off as soon as possible, they do it for us men...................mainly.

Silicone implants similarly are to enhance appearance, and just like high heels can be overdone, but as with a slight lift to enhance the line of a finely turned ankle, silicone when used to extreme doesn't detract from the original idea, just highlights the greed and insecurity of people who use them.

Now, makeup, including other enhancements such as high heels and silicone when used correctly should be virtually undetectable.

Lipstick, mascara, rouge, foundation, hair dye, silicone and high heels, when used properly will enhance and improve, if you notice any of them in use they have been badly employed.

Pardon me while I laugh ¦..

¦ and laugh again ¦.

I (we) appreciate women for their natural beauty. Yet you call us CHAUVANISTS!? Lord in heaven, that's a right hoot!

Next time you're out and about with your lady – TAKE NOTICE. She's not looking at other men all that much. She googling other women – their clothes, their hair, their shoes, their poise. Don't tell me women disfigure themselves for us. That's a load of pure and utter rubbish.

Women checkout women the same as men checkout other men, the same as stags fight other stags.

If you read what I wrote instead of what you think I wrote, concentrating on the very last sentence, we may meet somewhere in the middle.

Bullocks. Heterosexual men (in general, naturally) do not judge their own appearance by what other men are wearing, nor do they spend much time discussing the fashion, and where to find it.

I don't believe this is going anywhere. You are glorifying the very things that I detest by giving the advert version of their products. If you feel that have wrongly judged your input then perhaps we ought to bring it to its common denominator to find out for sure: I believe that a woman's beauty is in herself, her natural attributes - both in physical attractiveness and personality. No, I am not quoting some 60's rhetorical, flower-power, utopian dream .... that is my true opinion. To think that women are more beautiful by way of external trimmings is to disagree with me entirely. No misunderstanding in that. Is there?

You don't get out much do you ?

I don't believe this is going anywhere. Agreed

You are glorifying the very things that I detest by giving the advert version of their products. Hardly glorifying surely

I am with you nearly alllllllllllll the way, unfortunately the idea that a smidging of lipstick or a dab of cologne turns you into a prostitute got stuck in my craw......a little.

My late mother would carry a small container of rouge and adorn her cheeks with a soft blush of pinkness, nothing else.

I think that people that slip silicone under their skin are idiots.................but........it does have very useful and practical uses for both physical and mental well being.

In the UK there is a retro fashion revival with ladies plastering their lips with bright reds and exaggerating the eyebrows with bootblack bold lines. I don't have any room to complain remembering what my generation wore.

Growing out beards seems to be all the rage now. I don't suppose all men had the same thought at the same time, do you? personally I blame duck dynasty..lol
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

The beard thing is going strong in the UK and we don't get Duck Dynasty here, I think it's either a retro thing, or influenced by middle eastern fashion IS or mujahideen stylee, or...........possibly men checking out other men...........and liking it. The variation I find strange is the full beard and shaven head, my neighbour is now waxing his moustache, at least he has a full head of hair

If anything the trend re beards should be the other way round. After all, to have a beard is the natural order of things.

Incidentally, I gave myself a #1 last night, so my entire head (beard, moustache & eyebrows) looks practically non existent. The greyness also makes it more transparent as well. Strange feeling at first, but soon grows back.

Are you saying we should all go about like Sikhs.......full beards and uncut hair ? What, no mutton chops, handle bars, goatee, fu manchu ?

And.......begging your pardon, with regard to your comment concerning women's makeup, what is the ulterior meaning behind your look ?

Just imagine the callouses formed & deforemed feet after 50 years or so of that sort of treatment.

Yeah well, she's only 5' 5" but she told her husband of 6 years that she's 5' 9".
