Isis destruction of ancient sites and museum artifacts in addition to their acts of barbarity illustrates really how backward they are in their thinking, and yet they go on to utilize all the weaponry and technology of a modern society. I guess they don't see a conflict.

Extreme fundamentalism is only an attraction for the very weak minded so it's just an extension of that. There seems to no limits to which they will sink

I truly mourn the loss of those antiquities. Remember when the Taliban, in Afghanistan, blew up the huge Buddha statue? A loss to the world, thank goodness with modern technology we at least have these great works on film.

I was shocked, saddened & disgusted by these heinous acts against human history.
