Sweden: Rape Capital of the West

Post by Bruv »

In 1975, the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the former homogeneous Sweden into a multicultural country. Forty years later the dramatic consequences of this experiment emerge: violent crime has increased by 300%.

If one looks at the number of rapes, however, the increase is even worse. In 1975, 421 rapes were reported to the police; in 2014, it was 6,620. That is an increase of 1,472%.

The racist sees this as a race problem, others as a cultural problem, any suggestions as to what is happening in Sweden ?

Cultural IMO. Quite frankly we should extend to immigrants the same courtesy we would get in their country - respect local culture or else. The thing is we have a government that is about to overturn the human rights act evrybody either has the same rights and is entitled by the full force of the law to enfiorce them that includes not being assaulted by people who see you as inferior. It's no excuse to claim it is in your culture and that it's OK to rape someone you think was asking for it and we nor anyone else should pander or excuse such actions on cultural grounds. If it's in my culture to turn round and belt anyone who offends me shlould I be allowed to?

How do you combat it ?

With the increase in grooming scandals, the egg shells the investigations have to negotiate, and the credence this gives to the right wing, what realistically is the answer ?

Stop tolerating and making excuses for the intolerant rape is rape it must be the only crime where the motives and perceptions of the perpetrator outweigh the rights of the victim. Don't know about ypu butb when i was a spotty kid taking advantage of someone who was drunkwas not the done thing. I knew blokes that if a girl smiled at them or was civil it meant they fancied them perception and reality thinking someone is asking for it is not an excuse to attack someone.

Some of the problem is a reluctance to believe the blatantly bloody obvious.

We have had these ongoing grooming scandals with the racist right wing's assessment being proved correct, while everybody has been pussyfooting around afraid to be seen agreeing and condemning either Asians or Muslims.

The new sympathetic treatment of victims could increase those coming forward, thus the 29% increase. but not the enormous increase in Sweden.

There are minor cultural differences between regions of the UK, so why can't this be tackled as such without the PC guilt trip ?
