I say 'Hopkins to Syria, refugees to the US'! About time America 'pulled it's weight' in this- they helped cause it!.

So sorry. America is closed for repairs right now. We will be opening with new management at the end of 2016, try us then.

(Be informed, though, that if Donald Trump wins the presidency, no immigration will be allowed for the next four years.)

Typical isolationist policy when it suits. Break the windows, then run away..... No, I realise that it's not your fault, Saint, but I can't help but feel bitter that your country (and ours) behaves like a vandal.

During Vietnam I was barely able to live with myself, knowing that my mere presence somehow aided the war effort. Although I was a staunch, involved protester, I was able to find peace within when I would take myself away to Europe, where I spent much of my time in late sixties, seventies.

I feel exactly the same about Iraq, Anne. Definitely a 'low note' for the UK.
