An amputee patient from Bridgend says he was forced to spend six hours in an ambulance after the vehicle was pulled over by police for having no MOT.
An ambulance without an MOT............................
New figures show that Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust paid a record £2,200 for one nurse to work a 12 hour shift.
Meanwhile........£180 an hour for an agency nurse.

NHS in crisis ?
I went to a demo yesterday, regarding the closure of a local Walk In Centre. The whole business really stinks of corruption.
The Bitterne Walk In Centre is on the Eastern side of the City, whilst the Central Hospital (the only one with A&E) is to the West, about 5 miles away. This means that anyone with minor injuries needs to go all the way over there for treatment. If they don't drive, or have access to transport then they have to use a bus (or taxi). But what if it's out of hours & there are no buses? In public the local Conservative MP (with the emphasis on 'Con), Royston Smith, puts on the public image that he is fighting to save the centre, yet the videos of him in conference with the CCG show him siding with those who want to close it.
The primary reasons for its closure is that it costs £600,000 p.a. to operate, and that people from outside the immediate practice area were using it. The obvious question should be that of how much of an extra cost is this closure going to implement on the increased workload on the A&E? This would not only be a matter of extra cost of the additional number of patients, but the additional workload of an A&E which is already struggling to cope as it is. The Bitterne WIC provides a vital service to the Eastern side of the city & to close it down is utter madness.
Personally, I see the next logical stage in the process of things, when placed in the pattern thus far of the Tory Government is that due to public support it will be "saved" by franchising it off to some private company, such as Care UK, selling it off to the Tory Buddies within the Old Boy Network, followed by Royston Smith glorifying in the way that he managed to save it from closure.

Reminds me of the way a thief could claim to be a public benefactor after robbing folk by making a donation to charity with some of his victims money, then claiming the plaudits. Maybe this tory has studied something similar to give him the idea.

NHS in crisis ?
When he was a councillor he brought about a major General Strike in Southampton after he brought about a move to cancel all the Social Services' contracts & making them sign up to new ones at about 20% less pay. Within a week rubbish was piling up on the streets & vermin infestations were starting to set in.
Also, within a couple of weeks of being elected he was under police investigation for Electoral Fraud after passing confidential information of names & addresses of probably Labour Voters who might be persuaded to vote UKIP to the UKIP candidate so as to deplete the Labour vote. Not just a matter of Electoral Fraud, but a breach of Data Protection.
I don't know what became of the investigation. I'd be interested to find out, but not sure how.

No stratagem is too base for the average politician to use in the furthering his/her/party ambitions, it would appear. No wonder people have no faith in politics and politicians. Probably the single biggest reason for poor turn-outs at elections. High-time for serious 'daylight' to be shone on this corrupt, underhanded, murky cadre of cheating, lying, swingeing, double-dealing, advantage-seeking mountebanks.
I would also be interested to find out more on this, FourPart. Maybe Spot can shed some light on the steps you need to take here. I also remember this debacle being on the national news.
