I've been seeing more and more of him over the past months and he seems one of the only ones, as far as I can see, who is saying the sort of things that would make me personally, vote for him. I like what he says and I've approved of the way he handles the press in their attempts to goad him with their usual right wing agenda.

Is he a one off in American politics ?

He's clearly not new on the scene. How is he generally received amongst the electorate ?

Obviously he's not Tudes cup of tea or this lot......

So, Conservatives apart, is there a distrust of such a swing to the left. Is voting further left than the Democrats an acceptable option for the average American voter, or is that a step to far.

I ask as I still cant fathom why the average working class voter here in the UK finds so much resistance to what would essentially save them from the clutches of the greedy, self serving Right and give them back the services that have been stolen from them and given to the rich in the form of tax breaks. I cant imagine its any different there and judging by that website I linked and the rantings of the ginger quiff who has fantasies about changing the decor to the White House, probably worse

As for the average liberal, they seem to think that Hilary is the only hope the republic has, and we must all join forces behind her to defeat the Evil Trumpian Empire.

If that is a list of Dumbest Quotes, then I feel I must ask myself which they are referring to as being the Dumb part - the initial statement or the Dumb response. Every one of the statements are plain common sense. The responses might well have been made by David Cameron. If something works for the Public Good, sell it - it has a higher marketable value.

Bernie, although I love him, can't win. Most dingbat Americans equate socialism w/communism, in their Ignorance. He is senator from Vermont, he couldn't be in most states. Therefore Hillary it is, must be.

As for Trump, compared to all the other Republicans running, he has turned into the only one I can tolerate, and would choose him among any of those standing w/him behind those podiums.

We have a year to go, so there is still time. The fact that The Donald is actually being considered by people in the party as the one viable choice should says it all.

The Republicans need to Cast a vote for "None of the Above" and send these clowns packing, then get on with serious selection of a reasonable candidate.

We need Bernie in this conversation.

Same question as the first one I asked. When was the last time we had a real choice. Who was he, or them? You don't have a choice because Money rules the system. Both parties are different sides of the same coin. Many republicans I hear on TV would love Bernie to win the nomination as he would be beaten. He would be swift-boated as a Communist. Yes. These people are nuts. And we allowed them to take over the place. First order of business has to be get somebody in ther to replace them.

We elected one of these clowns last year in my state. We did so by letting the opponent sit on his thumbs through the campaign, and then by not showing up in large numbers to vote. The next election, we will find someone to replace him, and We will work very hard at making the voters care about who they are allowing to play with our lives in such a manner.

That's what I plan to do about it.

Maybe you have outgrown the Republicans. Why so stubborn about it? If somebody must inject sanity into the hive mind, why must it be you? Nothing quite so simple there. I simply have never trusted the Democrats. They let us down too often. I much prefer being a liberal Republican to being a conservative Democrat.

I am only registered with the party so I can participate in the caucuses and Primaries.

So far it has done little good, but I keep trying. And frankly, I have had little respect for the Democrats for a long time.

I was in Chicago in 68. Saw the Democratic party up close and personal. And since then, I remember a lot of the clown the Dems have put up for the office. Dukakis? Kerry? Edwards? Seriously? Sure, the Pubs have not been much better.

And if it comes down to a decision between one of those guys in the Clown Car, and Hilary. I can say with a fair certainty that she will get my vote, but really, I'd like to see some other choices, please.

Donald may have had a loan that he repaid with interest, but he is leaving out the fortune he inherited when his dad, Fred, died. I know where Donald was in Brooklyn because it was in the news that he was put in charge of building Trump Village, across the street from the high school I was attending at the very same time. Fred Trump was dedicated to middle-class, middle-cost housing for us regular folks. Gosh, I'm part of history.

I've never trusted the Democrats either, dating back prior to '68 Chicago. "Hey hey LBJ, how many kids did you Kill today?" There certainly had been Republicans I've liked, but not for decades & I despise how they lock-step with the anti-choicers to a fanatical degree. As well, lately too many of them have said downright Stupid stuff, like that whacko in Texas Louie Gohmert, & the list is too long to name, but here's some "quotes": Rape can't cause pregnancy, & the case is still open on climate change (despite what 98% of scientists say) & there is an American War on Christmas & all kinds of dumb sh!t.
